An EXTRA LARGE Top Quality Notorhynchus tooth - a Sevengill Cow shark, from the Randle's Cliff, Maryland.  A lower jaw tooth with 7 primary cusps. This tooth has an excellent blue - gray color with a tan root. Great color and preservation. This is an early Miocene age, Calvert Formation tooth. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.

This catalog contains excellent shark teeth from one of the highly sought after Cow sharks, Notorhynchus primigenius, a Sevengill Cow shark. Notorhynchus teeth exhibit wide rectangular root that is topped with a saw-like row of six or more cusps. The Cow shark family is fairly rare and exceptional specimens are hard to locate. These teeth are Miocene age found in Maryland and are among the finest known examples.
