This catalog contains very nice teeth from a difficult to find fossil shark tooth - the Great White shark, Carcharodon carcharias. The Carcharodon carcharias is found is much less quantities than the Megalodon in the So.Carolina sites. These teeth are noted for their wide triangular crowns which are fully serrated, but relative to the Megalodon the teeth are much thinner and smaller and do not have a "bourlette". These teeth are late Miocene or Pliocene in age (approx. 4 million years ago).Note - These So.Carolina Great White teeth are really scarce. The big ones with complete roots are really rare!
