A well preserved, EXTRA LARGE Zarafasaura oceanis Plesiosaur vertebra, a large extinct upper Cretaceous marine reptile from the phosphate region (Oulad Abdoun Basin), Khouribga, Morocco. This Plesiosaur has been named Zarafasaura oceanis in 2011. This vertebra has a large neural spine. No repair or restoration. A fantastic specimen. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - specimen weighs one pound. There will be an international shipping surcharge.

Great examples teeth of an extinct Plesiosaur, Zarafasaura oceanis, a large late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) marine reptile from the phosphate region of Morocco. Sharks had to fear these creatures! This species has an unusually long neck and Zarafasaurus literally means "giraffe lizard" in ArabicC. Found in the phosphate  region (Oulad Abdoun Basin), Khouribga, Morocco. Note - This species was previously recognized as Plesiosaurus mauritanicus (Arambourg 1952) which is now regarded as a nomem dubiumZarafasaura oceanis was named in 2011.
