The December 2014 week #3 "Fossil Shark Tooth of the Month" selection is a ~3-1/2" Gem Carcharocles sokolovi from Morocco. This is one of the best GEM extra large Carcharocles sokolovi that I have seen. A gorgeous light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. The bourlette is a large and complete. The serrations are exceptional - incredibly sharp with a killer tip serration. The root is an exceptional light tan color with excellent articulation and 100% complete. Exceptional "eye appeal". One flaw - one serration missing. No repair or restoration. A Museum Quality Carcharocles sokolovi! Note - these top quality BIG Carcharocles sokolovi without repair are difficult to locate. It is tough to beat the quality of the finest Carcharocles sokolovi teeth. This tooth is from the late Eocene (Priabonian - 35 million years ago).
