These are excellent examples of a rare modern Bramble shark, Echinorhinus brucus. It is a member of the Echinorhinidae family. The Bramble shark is a deep water shark who lives on the sea floor at depths of 1300 – 3000 feet in temperate and tropical waters worldwide. Grows to 10 feet in length.
