C. chubutensis is an early form of C. megalodon (early - middle Miocene) which exhibits the development of small side cusps. These are rare teeth from Peru. You do not see many of this early Megalodon species available! Please note that Peru produces C. megalodon and C. chubutensis teeth that are among the highest quality available, and exceptional specimens are exceedingly difficult to locate. Sharp serrations are 1oo5 complete with an excellent tip serration. Note - the short serration is pathologic - no damage. Very nice side cusps. The bourlette is orange color and 100% complete.
