An ultra rare, top quality 5-5/8" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth. A location that produces very few large Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. Note - the interlocking indentations along the side of the root lobes. This characteristic is only seen in the early to middle Miocene Megs - very unique!  A Museum quality specimen. No repair! You will not see these middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often!  One of the rarest Megs! A collection piece from the old days.

The April 2015 "Fossil Shark Tooth of the Month" is an ultra rare, top quality 5-5/8" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth. A location that produces very few large Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth has a highly desirable light tan color. Highest enamel quality. The bourlette is an attractive dark tan color and 100% complete. The root is an exceptional - an excellent tan color and 100% complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. Exceptional color and preservation! The serrations are incredible, extra large (Peru-like!), and nearly complete except for minor feeding wear to tip. Note - the interlocking indentations along the side of the root lobes. This characteristic is only seen in the early to middle Miocene Megs - very unique!  A Museum quality specimen. No repair!
