A GEM Harleyville Auriculatus tooth.  A less common lower jaw anterior tooth - a very difficult position tooth to find. Gorgeous gray colored crown with a black colored bourlette, and light gray root. Highest quality enamel! Exceptionally colored & preserved. The serrations are large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. The root is complete and very well preserved. It is very hard to find these teeth in perfect condition. Museum quality.  A killer collector's Harleyville Auriculatus tooth!

This catalog contains excellent teeth from C. auriculatus, the first Giant White shark. C. auriculatus teeth are noted for their triangular crown and very large side cusps which are heavily serrated. These teeth are from the Eocene (38 million years ago).

Please note that all of these C. auriculatus teeth were found in the Santee Limestone Formation from quarries around Harleyville, S.C., and exhibit the finest quality preservation.  No "river polish" or artificial shine like you will see on many of the river derived Auriculatus teeth. These teeth show extraordinary preservation and detail with razor sharp serrations! If you are looking for a great C. auriculatus, please have a look!
