A rare, Top Quality Gomphotherium tooth, an early elephant, found in Patricio Co., Texas. Mammoths and other elephant ancestors were present in this area during the Late Pleistocene Ice Age. Fantastic natural color and patina! An excellent molar with a naturally worn chewing surface. The molar chewing surface measures 5-1/4" in length. A complete root. Completely fossilized.
