An incredibly preserved, EXTRA LARGE Miocene Gomphotherium molar from Chatham Co., Georgia.  An extinct elephant ancestor that evolved in the Early Miocene and lived through the Pleistocene of North America. This is an unerupted tooth with fantastic cusp detail with no wear. The cusps are 2-1/2" high! Incredible jet black color. Well fossilized. Weighs 6.1 lbs. No damage. No repair.
