A Top Quality, Isurus oxyrinchus, the Shortfin Mako shark tooth (upper jaw anterior tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich tan crown and a light brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Pliocene tooth from the Yorktown Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.

Isurus oxyrinchus is the Shortfin Mako shark tooth. These are Miocene or Pliocene age teeth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This is the extant Shortfin Mako shark. Please note that prior described Isurus desori teeth are now described as Isurus oxyrinchus teeth.
