A gorgeous Summerville Angustidens. An exceptional collector's tooth. Excellent eye appeal! NO repair! The BEST of the BEST!

The March 2015 Week #2-2 "Fossil Shark Tooth of the Month" offering is a GEM dark gray Summerville Carcharocles angustidens, a C. megalodon tooth predecessor - "spike-like" Anterior tooth. It has an incredible dark gray colored crown with an exceptional black bourlette. The enamel is the highest possible quality with no hydration cracks. The bourlette is fantastic and nearly complete. No enamel peel. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. The root is an excellent tan color and complete. This Angustidens was found in a Summerville, SC land site (Chandler Bridge Fm., Oligocene age = 28 MYA).
