Hypacrosaurus - Dentary (lower jaw)
A rare High Quality juvenile Hypacrosaurus stebingeri lower jaw (dentary) section from the late Cretaceous (Two Medicine Fm.) of North America. This jaw section contains ~ 3 dozen exposed teeth. Hypacrosaurus is a lambeosaur (crested) hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Two Medicine formation. They possessed ~300 teeth that were in columns of five teeth each which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a large chewing surface to cut and grind their food. This specimen is a section of the lower jaw includes 20 columns of teeth. Bone quality is very good. Cracks are repaired. Legally collected on private land in the Two Medicine Fm., Browning, Montana. An excellent collector's quality Hypacrosaurus jaw section. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare piece!
